A pregnant woman who was told she had a miscarriage discovers that her baby is still alive in her!
Catherine Kent, 27 and her partner Kevin Gray, 28 were truly devestated when they found out that Catherine had a miscarriage. It was said that the child had passed away after eight weeks and doctors wanted to give Kent medication to shorten the miscarriage. Kent didn't accept the pills, but instead wanted to wait until the baby passed naturally.
One month later she went for a scan and was shocked to find out that the baby was still alive and doing well. The couple were thrilled with the great news, but were furious at the Sunderland Royal Hospital for causing so much problems. Catherine said: "What if I had taken the tablets they offered me? They could have left my baby severely disabled, or it could have died?" They were very upset that the hospital could have nearly killed their child. Kent also said she had fallen into depression and cried for the child she thought she lost.
She later sent a letter to the hospital and has still been waiting for an explanation. A spokesman said: "We are looking into the complaint and will be responding to her concerns as soon as our investigation is complete."
